Two artifacts, one museum

What goes into the game

The mod can't run on its own — it's a guest that needs a host. You install the host first (the loader), then the guest (the plugin). Here's what each one is.

1 · BepInEx 6 — the loader

BepInEx is a mod framework for Unity games, and this copy has been configured specifically for Two Point Museum — it's the IL2CPP branch (bleeding-edge build be.784) to match this game's native-compiled build, with its Doorstop loader pre-set and its Unity support libraries pinned to the game's exact engine (6000.0.63). You don't configure anything; you just drop it in.

It hooks in through a winhttp.dll proxy + Unity Doorstop 4.5.0, loads a bundled .NET 6 runtime, and on first launch generates the interop assemblies that let managed plugins talk to the native game.

2 · Ungodly AI — the plugin

A single BepInEx plugin, StixsworldHD.UngodlyAI.TPM.dll, that rebuilds how a museum runs: guest needs & behaviour, knowledge/buzz/prestige, research, staff wages & coverage, item upkeep, and a full economy — plus four real-time "director" systems.

Every value is exposed in a documented config file and a built-in in-game window (F6). 67 settings across 13 sections, each with a plain-English explanation and a safe range. One switch flips the whole thing back to vanilla — no restart.

Six pillars & four live directors

You don't need to know any of this to install it — but here's what you're switching on. Every lever drives a real game system verified in the shipping build; there are no placeholders.

Before you start

What you need

  • Two Point Museum on PC (Steam), 64-bit — base game and all DLC are supported.
  • A file archiver that opens .rar (WinRAR or 7-Zip).
  • Write access to the game's install folder (where TPM.exe lives).
  • Both downloads from the manifest below (or your own copies).
  • ~50 MB of free disk space for the loader and its runtime.

Common mistakes

It won't load if…

  • You use BepInEx 5 (the Mono line). This plugin targets the IL2CPP Il2CppInterop runtime — only BepInEx 6 IL2CPP works.
  • You skip the first launch after installing BepInEx, so the interop assemblies never get generated.
  • You extract into a subfolder instead of the game root, so winhttp.dll doesn't sit next to TPM.exe.
  • You drop the plugin into core or patchers instead of plugins.

🛟Save-safe, always reversible

The mod never writes anything into your save — it only changes live, in-memory values. Uninstalling is deleting the DLL. Nothing here can corrupt a museum. Ready? Head to Phase 1 →
